An artistic tonic to the daily bombardment of idealised and sexualised depictions of bodies in our media, in the Body Love Sketch Club life drawing session we will be casting a joyful, loving and accepting eye over the naked body, and inviting all to tap into a playful and sensual creative practice. Leave all negative judgements at the door (along with your clothes if you fancy giving posing a go) in this sensitive, respectful and body-positive session. We will have time at the end to reflect and share about our experiences of learning to look at the human body in new ways, and will discuss ideas for how to nurture a sense of kindly embodied love towards ourselves and others in our day to day lives.
Access: mostly sitting in sofas, chairs, or floor
Nudity: Clothing optional
To bring: Pens, pencils, sketchbooks, papers if you have
Duration: 120 mins
