An interactive workshop on power & privilege and how it affects our communities. An invitation to explore aspects of our identity (race, gender, mental health, faith, etc), challenge personal narratives, recognise oppressive behaviour (internally and externally), familiarise ourselves with micro-aggressions and discover ways to create allyship. Our awareness as individuals is the starting points for truly inclusive communities.
Trigger / content warning: feelings of inadequacy, shame, fear, anger, denial may arise; all is welcome. Only attend this session if you have enough emotional / mental energy; there will be limited time for integration / assimilation.
